Ako Refund Policy
This policy explains when refunds are available for Ako subscriptions and credit top-ups.

Subscriptions
Ako subscription plans (Starter, Pro) are billed monthly in advance. Charges are non-refundable once the billing cycle has started, with the exceptions below.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access through the end of your current paid period.
Eligible refund scenarios
We will issue a refund in the following cases:
- Billing error. If we charged you the wrong amount, charged you twice for the same period, or charged you after you had successfully cancelled, contact us and we will refund the incorrect amount.
- Unauthorized charge. If a payment was made without your authorization (for example, an unrecognized recurring charge on a shared payment method), contact us within 30 days and we will refund and cancel the subscription.
- First-week trial. If you upgrade to a paid plan and request a refund within 7 days of the first paid charge, we will refund the charge in full provided usage has been minimal. We may decline a refund if substantial credits have already been consumed.
Credit top-ups
Credit top-ups are one-time purchases. Top-up credits do not expire, but unused credits are non-refundable once purchased.
If a top-up charge was made in error or without authorization, the eligible-refund scenarios above apply.
Out of scope
- Refunds are not issued for the unused portion of a current billing cycle when you cancel mid-cycle. You keep access until the cycle ends.
- Refunds are not issued for credit usage that occurred before a billing dispute is raised.
- Razorpay payments held under AML or sanctions review are subject to Razorpay's own resolution timeline. Please see their FAQ for details.
How to request a refund
Email support@withako.com with:
- The email address on your Ako account
- The payment date and amount
- A short description of why you are requesting a refund
We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are typically issued back to the original payment method the same day; how quickly they appear in your account depends on your bank or card network and can take a few additional business days.
Refunds are issued in the original transaction currency at the original amount; we do not adjust for FX swings between the original payment and the refund.
